Metaltech AB – Prahova / Cătina Solar Power Plant Project (5.3 MWp)
The Prahova / Cătina region of Romania, known for its fertile and green lands, is now not only recognized for its natural beauty but also for its decisive step toward a sustainable energy future.
With our 5.3 MWp Solar Power Plant (SPP) project in this region, Metaltech AB once again demonstrates its strong commitment to renewable energy.
Project Details
Location: Prahova / Cătina, Romania
Installation Status: Under Construction
Total Installed Capacity: 5.3 MWp
Number of Panels: 8,154 high-efficiency solar panels
An Eco-Conscious and Sustainable Approach
At Metaltech AB, our projects are not just designed to generate energy — they are engineered for environmental responsibility, long-term durability, and maximum efficiency.
This plant in Prahova has been meticulously planned by taking into account the region’s solar irradiation levels, topographical structure, and infrastructure conditions.
Once completed, the plant is expected to produce approximately 7,500 MWh of electricity annually, enough to meet the yearly power needs of around 3,000 households.
In addition, the facility will prevent an estimated 4,500 tons of CO₂ emissions per year, equivalent to the impact of planting thousands of new trees.
Innovative System Design
All 8,154 panels are mounted on high-strength, weather-resistant aluminum structures, ensuring reliable energy generation with low maintenance costs for many years.
The system also includes a real-time monitoring infrastructure, allowing for continuous tracking of production data and optimization of performance.
Local Contribution and Regional Development
Our investment in the Prahova region offers not only clean energy production, but also valuable regional benefits such as local employment and the transfer of technical knowledge.
Installation and future operations are being carried out with local labor, directly contributing to the community’s economic growth.
Metaltech AB is committed to realizing its clean energy vision across a wide geography — from Romania to Türkiye, from Europe to the Middle East.
The Prahova / Cătina SPP Project stands out as a shining example of this vision.
With projects that protect nature, illuminate the future, and prioritize economic sustainability, we are renewing the world’s energy.
Our Energy Comes from the Sun, Our Power Comes from the Future.
